Dr. Thomas Herlugson
Dr. Thomas Herlugson graduated from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine. After relocating from Niles, IL where he worked at an avian and small animal hospital, he joined Mukwonago Animal Hospital in 1991 as an associate veterinarian. Dr. Herlugson’s special interests include birds as well as small pocket pets.
In his spare time, Dr. Herlugson enjoys golfing, hunting and skydiving. Dr. Herlugson and his family live in East Troy and have 1 dog, multiple cats, a few goats and some feathered friends.
Dr. LeeAnne Sherrod
Dr. LeeAnne Sherrod graduated from the Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine. After relocating from Appleton, WI where she worked at a small animal hospital, she joined Mukwonago Animal Hospital in 1999 as an associate veterinarian. Dr. Sherrod’s special interests include the use of Ultrasound Imaging for diagnostics and internal medicine.
In her spare time, Dr. Sherrod enjoys spending time with her husband and their three children. They love traveling, hiking and hanging out with their menagerie of dogs, cats and lizards. As a family, they are also very involved in mission activities through their church, scouting and various kids’ extracurricular activities.
Dr. Danielle Bittner
Dr. Danielle Bittner graduated from Ross University College of Veterinary Medicine. She completed her fourth year clinical rotation at UW Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital. Dr. Bittner grew up in Mukwonago. She has been interested in veterinary medicine since she was a child and even worked here at the Mukwonago Animal Hospital when she was in high school and college. She joined the hospital as an associate veterinarian in 2009.
In her spare time, Dr. Bittner enjoys spending time with her family. She also enjoys cooking, gardening and working her way through Martha Stewart’s cupcake cookbook. Dr. Bittner and her family live in Mukwonago with 2 dogs and 2 cats.
Dr. Sara Thompson
Dr. Thompson graduated from Ross University College of Veterinary Medicine. She grew up in East Troy, worked in small animal and emergency medicine for several years in the Chicago and Milwaukee areas and has now moved back to her home town. She finds all areas of veterinary medicine rewarding, but has a special interest in integrative medicine. She is certified in veterinary acupuncture and animal chiropractic, or VSMT.
In her free time, Dr. Thompson enjoys the outdoors with her family and their dog. She also enjoys gardening, cooking, and working on renovating their new home in East Troy.
Dr. Martha Johnson
Dr. Martha Johnson graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Veterinary Medicine in 2014. After graduation she began working in small animal general practice in Illinois. In 2015, she happily returned to her home state of Wisconsin, and hopes to never leave again. She enjoys playing tennis, running, hiking and going for long bike rides. She is constantly entertained by her furry family consisting of 2 dogs and a tabby cat. Special areas of interest include internal medicine and oncology.
