Dr. LeeAnne Sherrod

Dr. Sherrod graduated from the Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine. After relocating from Appleton, WI where she worked at a small animal hospital, she joined Mukwonago Animal Hospital in 1999 as an associate veterinarian. Dr. Sherrod’s special interests include the use of Ultrasound Imaging for diagnostics and internal medicine.

In her spare time, Dr. Sherrod enjoys spending time with her three children. They love traveling, hiking and hanging out with their dogs and cats.


Dr. Danielle Bittner

Dr. Bittner graduated from Ross University College of Veterinary Medicine. She completed her fourth-year clinical rotation at UW Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital. Dr. Bittner grew up in Mukwonago. She has been interested in veterinary medicine since she was a child and even worked here at Mukwonago Animal Hospital when she was in high school and college. She joined the hospital as an associate veterinarian in 2009.

In her free time, Dr. Bittner enjoys spending time with her husband and their four children. She has two dogs; Baloo and Wheezy, two cats; Jack and Prickles, guinea pigs, a tortoise, hedgehog, and a snake.


Dr. Sara Thompson

Dr. Thompson grew up in East Troy, Wisconsin, and worked at MAH during high school, then went to undergraduate at UW-LaCrosse, and completed her veterinary education at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2009. She has worked in small animal and emergency medicine in the Chicago and Milwaukee areas. Dr. Thompson has found all areas of veterinary medicine rewarding, but has special interest in integrative medicine. She has a certification in veterinary acupuncture and animal chiropractic, or VSMT.

In Dr. Thompson’s free time, she enjoys getting outdoors with her husband, Garret, and their children Adelyn, Oliver, and Penelope. They also have four furry babies – two dogs, Ryver and Rutabaga, and two cats, Sherman and Lucille. Dr. Thompson also enjoys gardening and cooking.


Veterinarians


Dr. Stacy Stengel

Dr. Stengel graduated from the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine in 2016. Her special interests include animal behavior, dermatology, and dentistry. Dr. Stengel enjoys getting to know her clients and caring for their animals through all stages of their life.

In her spare time, Dr. Stengel enjoys spending time with her husband, and their two daughters. They have two horses, one cat, Frankie, and two dogs, Nikita – a husky rescue with deformed back legs, and Archie – another rescue with elbow dysplasia. Dr. Stengel’s hobbies include reading, hiking, and traveling.


Dr. Dimitrije Bogunovic

Dr. Dimitrije Bogunovic

Dr. Bogunovic grew up in Mukwonago and attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He started his career doing research at the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine, followed by working as a veterinary technician. Dr. Bogunovic attended Ross University of Veterinary Medicine and graduated in 2015. His primary focus is emergency medicine, but is also very passionate about surgery and internal medicine. Client communication and education are very important to him.

Dr. Bogunovic and his wife decided to leave the sun and the beach to be closer to family after having their little girl and have since added a little boy. Dr. Bogunovic has a special interest in Bulldogs as they have an English Bulldog named Frank. His hobbies include mostly anything outdoors; hiking, fishing, wakeboarding, skiing, camping, etc.


Dr. Conor Doyle

Dr. Conor Doyle grew up in the Milwaukee area while attending Brookfield Central High School. He completed his Animal Science degree at the University of Minnesota. His next stop was in Saint Kitts where he obtained his DVM from Ross University in 2018. He returned to the University of Minnesota for a year of clinical training before heading to Oklahoma State University for an internal medicine and surgery internship. Dr. Doyle started his professional career in New England, practicing emergency and critical care medicine. He recently moved back home to Wisconsin to practice in a more general care setting.

His passion for veterinary medicine is only rivaled by his love for the Packers and exploring the outdoors. In his free time he enjoys fishing, mountain climbing, traveling, tennis, and spending time with family. He is the proud father of a dog (Sadie), cat (Stella), and a tank of African Cichlids (Sean, Tyler, Vlad, Little Jacob, Romba 2.0, Serena, Tiny, and Perch).


Dr. Brooke Zader

Dr. Zader grew up in East Troy and went to Mukwonago High School. She then went to undergraduate at Michigan State University and then completed her veterinary education at University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine. During this time, she also completed her certification in veterinary acupuncture. Dr. Zader has wanted to be a veterinarian since she was a child and has volunteered at many different shelters and animal hospitals around the Mukwonago and East Troy area. During veterinary school, Dr. Zader developed special interests in dentistry, animal behavior and integrative medicine.

In her spare time, Dr. Zader enjoys spending time with her family, hanging out on the lake, and swimming. She has 1 dog named Roxie who loves swimming in her pool and playing fetch.


Dr. David Chapman

Dr. David Chapman was born and raised in central Iowa and attended Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine. After spending the last 16 years driving through the countryside of southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois taking care of all creatures great and small, he has taken this great opportunity to come to work in Mukwonago. He enjoys the different pace of work and meeting all the clients that walk into MAH.

He lives in Janesville with his wife and two daughters. When he isn’t attending his kids’ events and activities, he enjoys Wisconsin supper clubs and indulging in the great cheeses of Green
County.


Specialty Veterinarians


Dr. Fred Gromalak, DVM, Sonographer

Dr. Gromalak partnered with Mukwonago Animal Hospital in Spring 2021. Dr. Gromalak has been performing ultrasounds and echocardiograms since graduating from veterinary school in 2017.

Six months into Dr. Gomalak’s veterinary career he started SVS Imaging, serving veterinary clinics in Southwest Wisconsin and Northeast Illinois with mobile ultrasound services. In May of 2019, he expanded to the Quad Cities and surrounding areas. He finds great passion in becoming a team member of the veterinary clinics he serves and loves seeing the value ultrasound can provide for clients and patients.

During his free time, Dr. Gromalak enjoys traveling, boating, playing softball, and attending concerts of all kinds. He lives in Wisconsin with his wife and son.


Dr. Harpreet Singh, DVM, DACVS-SA

Dr. Harpreet Singh, a board-certified surgeon, partnered with Mukwonago Animal Hospital in Spring 2021. Over the years we have established a close working relationship and trust with one another, which allows us to collaborate on cases and provide a level of continuity. Dr. Singh offers consultations and surgical procedures including Orthopedic/Musculoskeletal, Neurologic, and Soft Tissue surgeries.

Dr. Harpreet Singh moved to Wisconsin in 1996 and resided in Milwaukee for 7 years. He attended Sholes Middle School and Rufus King High School. He then moved and attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison for both Undergraduate and Veterinary School. In order to pursue his passion of surgery he entered the MATCH program and landed in Boston for a 1 year Small Animal Medicine and Surgery Internship at Tufts University. He was invited to stay on for an additional 3-year residency in order to specialize in the field of Small Animal Surgery. Dr. Singh finished his studies in 2015 and became board certified in the beginning of 2016. He then relocated back to Madison and has been practicing at a multispecialty referral hospital for the past 5 years.

Dr. Singh has performed thousands of surgeries including oral maxillofacial, thoracic, abdominal, orthopedic, and neurosurgeries. He has collaborated with human surgeons to treat complex cases and has utilized cutting-edge technology to advance the field of veterinary medicine.

Dr. Singh plays an integral role in the veterinary community by participating and helping host workshops held by internationally known organizations. He has given research-based lectures at local and national conferences and has served on several committees, including a presidency term for the Dane County Veterinary Medical Association in Madison, WI. His hobbies include tennis, golfing, kayaking, and hiking.

Management


Melissa, Technical/Inventory Manager

Melissa has worked at the hospital since July 2000 and joined our management team in 2020. She enjoys spending time with her husband Joey, and two boys, Nathan and Matthew. She has two dogs and three cats. Melissa enjoys dog shows, watching her boys in athletic events, running, and reading. At the hospital, she loves educating and helping people help their pets.


Jessica, Office Manager

Jessica has worked at the hospital since February 2016 and joined our management team in 2020. She has an Olde English Bulldog named Emma, and two cats, Snoop (pictured) and Lloyd. When Jess is not working at the clinic, she is busy enjoying family time with her husband and their three little kids. They enjoy any outdoor activities and can be found at the lake on the weekends. Her favorite part of working at the hospital is of course the animals, as well as being a part of a friendly, caring, family-oriented team.


Client Care Specialists


Karla, Lead Client Care Specialist

Karla has been with our practice since July 2000. She has her bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Technology from North Dakota State University. She has 2 daughters, Amanda and Rachel. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her children, hiking, camping, and exploring Wisconsin. She loves working at the hospital because of all the community philanthropy that we do here.


Kari, Lead Client Care Specialist

Kari has worked at the hospital since February 2021. She enjoys spending time with her Fiancé Colin, son Alex, Zach, Maxx, and stepson Dexin. Kari has two rescue dogs from China – Soldier and a tripod named Perfect, one Jeweled Lacerta named Jeff, four Bearded Dragons named Lucy, Ricky, Ducky, Nowelle, and lots of fish. Her hobbies include baking, cooking, and gardening. Kari loves working with animals and wants to be able to help their owners take the best care of their pets.


Kim, Client Care Specialist

​Kim is a very familiar face at the front desk, she joined the MAH family in 1998. Kim enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters. Kim and Jon have two dogs – Cooper and Winston, and a cat named Rosie. Her hobbies include gardening, camping, hiking, boating, traveling, and spending time with friends and family. Kim loves interacting with all of the patients and building a rapport with our clients.


Heidi, Patient Care Coordinator

Heidi has worked at the hospital since 2008. She enjoys greeting our clients as they enter the clinic and making sure they are cared for from the beginning of their appointment to the end. In her spare time, she likes to read, ride motorcycles with her husband Shawn, and fundraising for Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. Heidi has two children, Hope and Brandon, and two fur feline children, Tater Tot and Jovi Bean.


Danielle, Client Care Specialist

Danielle has been working at the hospital since October 2015, coming with a prior background in veterinary medicine. She and her husband, Daniel, have a son, Rowan, and three cats. Danielle and her family love to spend time outside, whether they are camping, enjoying a bonfire or simply just eating dinner on the porch. Danielle’s love of animals has been with her throughout her life and is the reason why she enjoys her work at the hospital.


Patty, Client Care Specialist

Patty joined our team in May 2021. She enjoys spending time with her husband, Tim, son, Zach, and daughters, Dakota and Natalee. Patty has two dogs, Diesel and Zena, and a cat named Abbie. Her hobbies include camping, motorcycle rides, and spending time with friends and family. Patty enjoys working at the hospital because of her amazing coworkers and clients – she enjoys coming to work every day.


Abby, Client Care Specialist

Abby joined Mukwonago Animal Hospital in July 2021. She enjoys spending time with her Fiancé Justin, daughter, Savannah, and son Mason. She has a dog named Tuli, cat named Linda, Hamster named Dos and chickens. Abby is originally from Albuquerque, NM and enjoys going home to visit and spending time hiking/natural hot springs and visiting small towns around the state. Abby loves camping around Wisconsin in many different state parks. Being new to the vet field, Abby enjoys learning new things on a daily basis.


Samantha, Client Care Specialist

Samantha joined our hospital in February 2022. She has 3 beautiful cats named Sophie, Milo, and Ash. Sam also has a trio of Golden Retrievers named Holy, Odin, and Roeley – and a little westie mix named Tippie. In Sam’s free time she enjoys traveling to new places and partakes in a little bit of photography, including photo sheets of all of her animals. On the weekends Sam enjoys spending time with her family and boyfriend. Sam loves working at Mukwonago Animal Hospital because every day is different and she gets to learn something new! In just a few months at MAH, Sam says not only does she know how to better understand what her pets need but she is able to pass that knowledge onto others.


Natacha, Client Care Specialist

Natacha joined our hospital in September 2022. She has one dog named Uno, a cat named Demi and a Turtle, Lambo. When she is not at MAH, Natacha enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters. Her hobbies include a special interest in arts and crafts and traveling. Natacha enjoys working at the clinic with a team that is passionate about caring for animals and each other!


Allison, Client Care Specialist

Allison joined our team in August 2023. She has two cats, Ramses and Nefertiti. They are both grey tuxedo cats with completely different personalities – they are her babies! Allison’s favorite hobbies include crocheting, reading, spending time outside, and going to the gym. Allison says she loves working at MAH for many reasons; she loves to see all of the different patients come in and out, all the cute dogs and cats, and loves helping clients and their animals when they need it.


Rhiannon, Client Care Specialist

Rhiannon joined our team in January 2024. She has four birds – Goomba (Cockatiel), Koopa (Cockatiel, Momo (Lovebird), and Chica (Lovebird) – they are so lovable. Her hobbies include art and painting- she ironically loves painting animals realistic and semi abstract. Rhiannon enjoys meeting new people at MAH, learning something new each day, seeing the animals, and learning about different treatment options for our patients.


Technicians


Ashley, Lead Veterinary Technician

Ashley has worked at the hospital since April 2012. She enjoys spending time with her husband, Matt and their two daughters. They have dogs, cats, chickens, and chinchillas. In the future, she hopes to add goats to the crew. Her hobbies include traveling, hiking, and spending time with friends and family. She loves that the hospital is involved in helping the community. Her favorite part is helping animals recover and go home to their families.


Kelly, Veterinary Technician

Kelly has worked at the hospital since February 2007. Her mini zoo includes dogs, cats, guinea pigs, and chickens. Kelly enjoys spending time with her son Korbin, husband Kurt, and hiking with the dogs.


Brittany, Veterinary Technician

Brittany has worked at the hospital since February 2016. She has one horse – Brandy and one handsome little Dachshund named Marlin (pictured). Brittany enjoys the outdoors, riding her horse, and spending time with family and friends. Her favorite part about working at the hospital is helping patients recover and watching them go home to their families.


Kadie, Veterinary Technician

Kadie has worked at the hospital since February 2018. She has 2 cats – Yeti and Nard, and two dogs – Sweetie and Mazikeen. She enjoys spending time with her husband and friends, the outdoors, camping and painting. Kadie loves working with a positive and passionate staff in a caring environment, helping animals in need.


Tori, Veterinary Technician

Tori joined our hospital in September 2019, with three years of previous experience as a Veterinary Technician. Tori is from Mukwonago and being an Aunt is her favorite! She has a black lab named Kona, and miniature donkeys. Tori enjoys spending time outdoors, helping out at the family business, concerts, live music, baking, and spending time with family and friends. Tori loves being a part of a team that cares for the animals as well as their owners; making a positive difference in their lives is important to her. Every day is a new adventure!


Kat, Veterinary Technician

Kat joined our hospital in February 2020, with a background in veterinary medicine. Kat has two dogs; Ivar and Francis. She enjoys cooking, writing, and taking her dogs hiking or exploring a new park. Kat enjoys her coworkers and seeing a patient’s health turnaround after treatment.


Candace, Veterinary Technician

Candace has been a member of the team since June 2020, with a background in veterinary medicine. She has an associate degree in Science, Veterinary Technology. Candace has one cat – an orange tabby named Jack. She enjoys camping, bike riding, attending country music concerts, and spending time with family and friends. She loves working with the staff making sure the animals stay healthy and receive the proper care needed.


Abbey, Veterinary Technician

Abbey joined our team in March 2020. She has two dogs. Bentley and Aspen, and a bird named, Kiwi. Abbey enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, and shopping. She loves playing and taking care of the dogs. When working in our hospital she enjoys watching the animals get better when they come in sick or hurt.


Anabelle, Veterinary Technician

Anabelle joined our team in March 2022. She has two older brothers and numerous pets; two dogs, two cats, one rabbit (her “son” pictured), one chinchilla, and african dwarf frogs. Anabelle enjoys working with urgent care, helping patients through illness, and watching them grow. When Anabelle is not at the hospital, she enjoys shopping, fishing with her boyfriend, drinking coffee, playing card/board games, and swimming.


Kayla, Veterinary Technician

Kayla joined our team in October 2021. She previously worked at an emergency clinic for about two years and has worked on a horse farm for a handful of years now. Kayla and her husband have two little kids – a wild daughter and a sweet baby boy, along with two dogs; Boss, a Lab mix, and Honey, a Pit mix. Kayla’s hobbies revolve around her love for horses and working on the farm. Kayla enjoys working in a smaller but busy clinic with people who love animals as much as she does.


Brandi, Veterinary Technician

Brandi joined our team in February 2024. She has two older human sisters, and one dog, a Black Lab named Apollo. Brandi enjoys spending time with her family, friends and dog. She loves getting to work with animals and help them get better.


Kennel Staff & Doggy Daycare


Kaitlyn, Doggy Daycare Manager

Kaitlyn joined our team in June 2019. She has a bachelor’s degree in animal behavior from Carroll University. She has a duck named Lucky, a cat named Capone, a Tortoise named Shelly, and a bearded dragon named Little G. Kaitlyn’s hobbies include drawing, walking, and playing D & D. She loves getting to work with animals on a daily basis – it’s a dream come true!


Karli, Doggy Daycare Attendant

Karli joined our team in March 2021. She has three dogs: Opie, Roxy, and Blue. She has been in the dog daycare industry since 2017. Her favorite part of working with dogs is watching them grow and become more confident. She enjoys hiking, horseback riding, reading, and camping.


Anthony (AJ), Doggy Daycare Attendant

AJ joined our team in May 2023. He is the oldest of three with a brother and sister. AJ has one dog, one cat, and two rabbits. He enjoys tech stuff, reading, and watching movies. AJ loves getting to spend time with a bunch of animals and getting to know other animal lovers like himself!


Lilly, Doggy Daycare Attendant

Lilly joined our team in May 2023. She is the youngest in her family of three, and has two rabbits, Clue and Poe, and a dog named Hurley. Lilly is an artist and loves to create illustrations and comics and play on her Nintendo switch. She loves working here at MAH because of all the dogs she has the pleasure to work with and the friends she’s made in doggy daycare!


Rory, Kennel Manager

Rory has been working at MAH since May of 2020. Rory has lived with a minimum of five pets for his entire life. Currently, he lives alongside three cats, two dogs, a rabbit, and a tortoise with the help of his wife Skylar. The pet’s names are Harlow (pictured here), Vienna, Emily, Winnie, Camilo, Autumn, and Calcifer respectively. Rory enjoys spending time with his coworkers on and off the clock, because the only thing he loves more than animals is people. Working with you and your furry family is one of his greatest pleasures.


Kelly, Kennel Assistant

Kelly joined Mukwonago Animal Hospital in October 2020. She loves working with the animals, playing with the dogs when she takes them outside for walks and enjoys caring for them while they’re boarding with us. Kelly has an older sister that works with animals just like her – her sister is a veterinarian! In Kelly’s spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She has two cats named Draco and Luna – she adopted them both at HAWS. When Kelly is away from her cats at home, she enjoys time with our clinic cat, Annie. Her hobbies include art (including diamond art) and crafts.


Macey, Kennel Assistant

Macey started working at MAH in April 2022. Macey is an only child in her family and has three pets; one cat named Luna, Tucker a Lab, and Knox a pitbull mix (pictured). Her hobbies outside of work include babysitting, spending time with family and friends, concerts, shopping, and fishing. Macey’s favorite thing about working at MAH is working with dogs daily and seeing their personalities show as they stay with us.
